I heard Franco Corelli at the Met in La Forza del Destino in 1969! I was totally blown away and hooked for life...!! It is such treat to lie in bed at 12:30 am and be able to listen to Nessun Dorma sung by Corelli and have the aria unpacked by Yannick Nézet Séguin! Nothing can top this!! Thank you Bob for including this edition of Aria Code in Friday's deep dive!!!

Albert Nerenberg is the film-maker behind "You Are What You Act." About six or seven years ago, he was featured at IdeasCity. His pitch was that he could make complete strangers fall in love. He asked for volunteers to come up on stage. I volunteered. There were about ten of us, arranged in a row of chairs, man woman man woman. Albert asked us to gaze soulfully into the eyes of the person next to us. The woman beside me had dark eyes and dark hair. We gazed into each other's eyes. After a few moments, I could certainly feel, let's say, internal stirrings about her. Then Albert called time. He asked us to comment on what we had experienced. Everyone said a version of, "That was amazing. I'd never met the guy / the woman and I was falling for them."
