Even though these activities are taking place at the state and county level, they are by no means spontaneous, uncoordinated efforts at suppressing the votes of typically Democratic populations. I strongly disagree with voter ID laws, Bob, and if you think two or three layers deeper, you'll see that there's a reason why the states asking for them are almost uniformly Republican ones. The ACLU agrees. https://www.aclu.org/other/oppose-voter-id-legislation-fact-sheet
